The food at Rusthållargården is exciting. For centuries there have been food cooked and served at these premises. As we now carry our predesessors heritage, you can’t help to feel proud.
Now, we could boast of all our awards and excellent reviews, but we feel it more important to tell you about why we are here.
What symbolizes us is our love of food, to be working with the best primary produce. When we go up in the nearby oak-clad slopes and pick nettle to soup or rhubarb to consommé, we wish that everbody could enjoy it like we do.
Many of our spices and herbs growing in the herb garden on the hill behind the porch. Elderberry to drinks, we pick in the hills around the village, our bread is of course baked in our kitchen, and our crisp bread has become a popular classic.
We are delighted to be able to take Swedish culinary traditions further and allow the traditional local dishes on the menu to intermingle with the modern gourmet menus, where we like to put our mark on contemporary trends and taste guidelines.
